Psalms 104

The Lord’s Care over All His Works.

1 aBless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, You are very great;
You are bclothed with splendor and majesty,
2Covering Yourself with clight as with a cloak,
dStretching out heaven like a tent curtain.

He flays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters;

He walks upon the jwings of the wind;

He makes
Or His angels, spirits

mthe winds His messengers,
Or His ministers flames of fire

5He pestablished the earth upon its foundations,
So that it will not
Or move out of place
totter forever and ever.
6You rcovered it with the deep as with a garment;
The waters were standing above the mountains.
7At Your srebuke they fled,
At the tsound of Your thunder they hurried away.
8The mountains rose; the valleys sank down
To the uplace which You established for them.
9You set a vboundary that they may not pass over,
So that they will not return to cover the earth.

Lit The one who sends
He sends forth xsprings in the valleys;
They flow between the mountains;
11They ygive drink to every beast of the field;
The zwild donkeys quench their thirst.

Or Over, Above
Beside them the birds of the heavens abdwell;
They

lift up their voices among the branches.

He aewaters the mountains from His upper chambers;
afThe earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.

He causes the ahgrass to grow for the

cattle,
And ajvegetation for the

labor of man,
So that

he may bring forth

food anfrom the earth,
15And aowine which makes man’s heart glad,
apSo that he may make his face glisten with oil,
And

food which arsustains man’s heart.
16The trees of the Lord

drink their fill,
The cedars of Lebanon which He planted,
17Where the atbirds build their nests,
And the austork, whose home is the

18The high mountains are for the awwild goats;

And bhseek their food from God.
22 When the sun rises they withdraw
And lie down in their bidens.
23Man goes forth to bjhis work
And to his labor until evening.

24O Lord, how bkmany are Your works!

In bmwisdom You have made them all;
The bnearth is full of Your
Or creatures
possessions.

There is the bqsea, great and
Or broad of dimensions (lit hands)
broad,
In which are swarms without number,
Animals both small and great.
26There the bsships move along,
And
Or a sea monster

buLeviathan, which You have formed to sport in it.

27They all bvwait for You
To bwgive them their food in
Lit its appointed time
due season.
28You give to them, they gather it up;
You byopen Your hand, they are satisfied with good.
29You bzhide Your face, they are dismayed;
You catake away their
Or breath
spirit, they expire
And ccreturn to their dust.
30You send forth Your
Or breath

ceSpirit, they are created;
And You renew the face of the ground.

31Let the cfglory of the Lord endure forever;
Let the Lord cgbe glad in His works;

Lit The one who
He cilooks at the earth, and it cjtrembles;
He cktouches the mountains, and they smoke.

Or Let me sing
I will sing to the Lord
Lit in my lifetime
,
cnas long as I live;
Or Let me sing
I will cpsing praise to my God
Lit while I still am
while I have my being.
34Let my crmeditation be pleasing to Him;
As for me, I shall csbe glad in the Lord.
35Let sinners be ctconsumed from the earth
And let the cuwicked be no more.
